Sadness is one of the deepest emotions that you can experience as a human being. You feel the emotion physically in your body. Your brain gives impulses to the organs including your heart, your lungs, your intestines. It feels like the opposite of being in love.
Being human is feeling and experiencing emotion. Even mentally oriented people sooner or later succumb to these deeper experiences. We could simply say that this painful emotion is good or that you can meditate it away. The truth lies in the word ‘living through!’
When you are sad, and you feel it coming and increasing, then a process of recognition, acknowledgement and acceptance starts. You can look up the reason for the sadness and you can take steps to ease the pain But as with a grieving process, you must also go through the grieving process.
