Are you lonely, ‘one’ in ‘lonely’, alone in a group or society? Or are you alone, consciously alone. For the second choice or feeling you need to have a number of character traits.
Your individuality is part of your path. If you are social and need contact, being alone is equal to being lonely. If you like to be alone, for days or weeks, then you can name it as a choice. Your time will be attuned to your need to be alone.
Cycling, walking, swimming, meditating. The environment will not always appreciate this because the vast majority of humanity is born to experience the interaction.
But perhaps you belong to that minority that needs to be alone?
