Some people ask: what is the difference between faith and spirituality? Faith is the constructive but shallow conviction that there is more than one life as a human animal. Dogmas exist as a path to deepening. Spirituality also opens a path where you and your experience are central, and there too you grow until nothing remains of you. In other words, both words exist to lead humanity to God’s love.
When Jesus touches your heart, when Christ embraces you, then faith and spirituality cease. Before that moment, you were searching; from then on, you are home. But when will it come to me? What else must I do, how must I act?… I hear you ask. “You need do nothing,” is my answer. Stop the path, forget your humanity, and fall in love with Him.

Sommigen stellen de vraag: wat is het verschil tussen geloof en spiritualiteit. Geloof is de opbouwende maar vlakke overtuiging dat er meer is dan één leven als mensdier. De dogma’s zijn er als pad naar verdieping. Spiritualiteit zet ook een pad open waar eerst jij en jouw beleving centraal staat en ook daar groei je uit tot er van jou niets overblijft. Met andere woorden, beide woorden zijn er om de mens naar Gods liefde te brengen.
Als Jezus je raakt in je hart, als de Christus je in de armen sluit, dan stopt geloof en spiritualiteit. Voor dat moment was je zoekende, vanaf dan ben je thuis. Maar wanneer komt het bij mij, wat moet ik nog doen, hoe moet ik handelen?… hoor ik je vragen. Niets moet je doen is mijn antwoord. Stop het pad, vergeet je mens zijn en wordt verliefd op Hem.
